Read Cynthia's story behind the story about Jingle Dancer.

And buy a copy! Let's buy up all copies in the 18th printing so it'll move to a 19th, and a 20th, and a 21st......

JINGLE DANCER is one of my all-time favorite books! Congratulations, Cyn!

A few years ago, the American Indian Child Resource Center was teaching a group of girls to make their own jingle dresses. When they came out at the powwow in their beautiful regalia, after the honor song, Oyate presented each of the girls with an autographed copy of JINGLE DANCER. For me, giveaways is the best part of what we do, and the happy look on the girls' faces is a moment I treasure.

Thanks so much, Debbie and Beverly! Jingle Dancer is definitely proof that word-of-mouth is absolutely critical with Native youth literature (and multicultural youth literature across the board). I greatly appreciate your efforts.
